Northcliff is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is a mostly upper-income residential area, located on Northcliff Ridge which overlooks the Central Business District on one side, and the northern suburbs on the other. Here it borders Fairlands, Blackheath, and Berario.
Northcliff Hill (also known as Aasvoëls Kop) is believed to have been inhabited by humans for over 250,000 years. At 1807 metres, the ridge is one metre lower than Observatory Ridge, the highest point in Johannesburg. The Ridge has three vegetation zones, and is inhabited by many different animals.
Cresta Shopping Centre, one of the largest malls in Johannesburg, is located on the border of Northcliff and Cresta.
Marang House, a home for seriously ill children, is based in Northcliff.
